Microsoft FrontPage
Users: We highly recommend using the "publish" technique
provided within the FrontPage software in order to upload your files.
FTP clients can sometimes corrupt the "FrontPage Extensions".
Remember that the first time you publish you need to select the "File/Publish
Frontpage Web" from the menus. Thereafter you will just hit the
"Publish" icon.
1. Click on "File"
"Publish FrontPage Webs"
2. Click on "More Webs"
3. Enter your domain (example.com) or your IP address (Note 1)
4. You will be prompted for a user name and password. The name is
yourdomain without the com/net/org extension and the password as you
submitted (lowercase)
Note 1: If you
are prompted to enter an FTP location after this, then either your
FP extensions are corrupted or not installed on your domain. Go ahead
and enter your domain name (yourdomain.com or IP address) and in the
FTP directory enter: /home/www/yourdomain (without the .com, .net,
etc.) and then proceed with other steps. This will at least get the
files up there. Be sure to contact support to report the missing or
corrupted extensions.
